GRANDVIEW – The chamber of commerce in Grandview is seeking nominations for this year’s community awards, to be presented on Friday, April 25, at the Grandview Community Center at 6:30 p.m.
Nominations may be submitted to the Grandview Chamber of Commerce at PO Box 717, Grandview, WA 98930 no later than Thursday, March 27.
Nomination forms can be found on the chamber’s website (visitgrandview.org).
Categories for community award nominees include the person of the year, Orrin Dybdahl Award for an adult who mentors and supports youth, the volunteer of the year, business of the year and community development for a person or organization involved in community economic development and/or quality of life.
An employee and student from each of Grandview’s schools can be nominated for the school awards.
Other awards to be voted on and submitted for recognition at the annual banquet include the President’s Award, selected by the chamber president; outstanding police officer, selected by the Grandview Police Department; firefighter of the year, selected by the Grandview Fire Department; top responder, selected by the fire department; Rotarian of the Year, selected by the Grandview Rotary Club; and Kiwanian of the Year, selected by the Grandview Kiwanis Club.
When nominating an individual or organization for the Grandview Community Awards, information about the nominee should be included, explaining why the nominee should be considered for the award.
