Perry invested in local schools

FORUM

I have known Michelle Emery Perry for over 20 years and I have never seen a person who is more dedicated to children.

Michelle has always been active in the Sunnyside School District as a parent volunteer in the classroom and on field trips. She was born and raised in Sunnyside and is also a graduate of Sunnyside High School, as were her children, parents and grandparents. She still has three children attending the Sunnyside schools. Michelle is deeply invested in the schools and the community, she lives and works there.

Michelle graduated from WSU in 2010 with a double Bachelor’s degree but she has not pursued a full time job because she is committed to her role as a school board director and wants to make sure that she can fulfill her obligation as a school board member. Michelle has served as the board vice president for the past two years and has participated in a lot of professional development as a board member, including serving on the Washington State School Board Directors Resolutions Committee for the past two years, and participating in Leadership WSSDA this past year.

Michelle takes her role as a school board member seriously even though it’s not a paid position. She spends many hours a month away from her family to fulfill her obligations as a board member, she has even missed some of her own children’s activities because of her commitment to the board. All of her committee work revolves around the community of Sunnyside or her role as a school board member.

If you want someone who will give their attention to the school district, then Michelle Emery Perry is your candidate for school board, position 2. She has my utmost support and endorsement.
