MABTON – Mabton City Council will meet for two more budget hearings before approving the more than $1.7 million budget for 2014 on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Currently, the city expects to garner $1.6 million in revenues next year.
“We have a ways to go before we have a balanced budget,” Mabton City Clerk-Treasurer Ret Stewart told council members at last week’s meeting.
The next budget study session will be held this Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Another budget session is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.
