YAKIMA – Tuesday, the Yakima County commissioners approved three resolutions that will adjust the salaries of elected officials, department heads and attorneys for the month of November.
The salaries for the assessor, auditor, coroner, department heads and clerk will each be bumped up by approximately $1,000 for the month of November, but will return to pre-adjustment levels on Dec. 1. The Yakima County sheriff will see a one-time increase in his salary for November amounting to nearly $1,600 more than his regular monthly pay.
The most experienced supervising prosecuting attorneys will earn nearly $1,000 more during the month of November, as well.
The department head positions impacted by the one-time salary adjustments include the budget director, department of assigned counsel director, department of corrections director, department of human services director, the geographic information services senior manager, human resources director, public services director and technology services director.
The one-time (one month) adjustment is being made as a result of one-time revenues received during the month of April.
The pay schedules were approved by a 3-0 vote of the commissioners.
