I would like to thank everyone that helped us make Sunshine Days a great success, and for their continued support for our city's annual community event.
Thank you to the Sunnyside Museum for letting us use their facility for the Miss Sunnyside interviews. Thank you to Sunnyside High School for the use of the commons area, auditorium and parking lot for the Sunshine Days Parade and Miss Sunnyside Pageant. Thank you to Dolly at the Car Show in Central Park for always including the Miss Sunnyside Court. Thank you to the Sunnyside Police Department for always helping us. Thank you to Francisco at HAPO Community Credit Union for the sponsorship and help with the second annual Miss Sunnyside Sun Run.
I want to thank all of the ticket buyers of the fifth annual "Princess For A Day" raffle. Thank you to all of the second annual Miss Sunnyside Sun Run participants. Thank you to all the 2012 Miss Sunnyside candidates and their families. Thank you to the outgoing 2011-12 Miss Sunnyside Court and their parents ( the float crew) and their families for their year of community service. Thank you to Bill Flower for the use of the Masonic lodge throughout the summer for rehearsals.
I especially want to thank Pam Turner at the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce for her support of the Miss Sunnyside program throughout the year, and her hard work.
In these times when lots of annual community events are being eroded by distractors and/or disappearing all together due to lack of commitment, dedication, interest or volunteerism; we have been able to maintain Sunnyside's Community Sunshine Days.
I am always very proud of the community support that we receive all year long, and I will tell you that other communities notice and are always so impressed by that.
My thank-you list is endless, but you all know who you are and that I greatly appreciate all of you. Thank you to everyone!
