GRANDVIEW - Students involved with Yakima Valley Community College's wine marketing course, in collaboration with YVCC's Teaching Winery Yakima Valley Vintners, will host an exciting evening of wine education and the opportunity to taste award-winning wine.
The free event, set for Wednesday, Feb. 29, provides the community an opportunity to learn about wines produced in the Yakima Valley. Community members attending the event will be able to tour the only teaching winery in the region, Yakima Valley Vintners.
The winery offers student-crafted wines for purchase by the glass, bottle or the case.
The Feb. 29 event is an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Yakima Valley Vintners Teaching Winery at the YVCC Grandview Campus.
The college's third annual Teach, Tour and Taste event an opportunity to see how award-winning wines are made, from crushing the grapes to the barrel and most importantly, into a glass. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
Yakima Valley Vintners Tasting Room is located at 110 Grandridge Road in Grandview.
